IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FALL 2020 CLASSES

Online classes can be accessed in PCC’s Canvas system. Make sure to Log in to Canvas and complete the required Check-In Assignment for the class no later than 11:30pm Wednesday, August 26, or else you can be dropped for non-attendance.

2nd 8-week classes (10/19-12/14) have a required Check-In Assignment no later than 11:30pm Wednesday, October 21, or else you can be dropped for non-attendance.

Most classes are taught fully online, though some may require on-campus meetings (check the “Location” in the Schedule of Classes). For classes that have live Online lecture times listed in the schedule, you are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions and to have the minimum technology to participate. Every class will have activities and assignments in Canvas. Check your PCC email often for information from your instructor, and make sure to contact your instructor if you have any questions.

  • Classes that Meet Online on Scheduled Days and Times each week:
    The Check-in Assignment is due within 3 days after the first online class meeting.
  • Classes that Do Not Meet Online on scheduled days and times each:
    The Check-in Assignment is due within 3 days of the first day of the Winter term.

Check your PCC Email and Canvas Inbox often for information about your class, and make sure to contact the instructor if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SPRING 2021 CLASSES

Online Classes at PCC:

  1. You will access your classes online in PCC’s Canvas system.  See more information about logging in to Canvas and technology requirements.
     
  2. Make sure to complete the required Check-In Assignment for your class in Canvas by the specified date/time, or else you can be dropped for non-attendance. The Check-in Assignment is normally due within the first 3 days of class. Your instructor will provide you with more information about the Check-In Assignment requirement.
     
  1. Some courses in the Schedule of Classes show weekly days and times that you must meet with the class live online. These class meetings are noted as “Online Zoom”, and you are expected to attend these scheduled class sessions. Your instructor will provide more information about how to access and participate online.
     
  2. If no live online meetings are noted in the Schedule of Classes, then any live online class meetings your instructor offers during the term are optional.

  1. Some instructors may require that you use a webcam during live online class sessions, or while you take an exam. Please contact the instructor if you have questions about camera or other technology requirements for the course.

  2. Don't forget! Check your PCC Email and Canvas Inbox often for any important information about your classes.
